Public Rally and Meeting on Nov 1, marking the 32nd year of the 1984 Sikh Genocide

Nov 1, 2016 marked the 32nd year of the fight for justice for the victims of the 1984 state-sponsored Sikh genocide. More than twenty organizations including civil rights, religious and youth organizations marched in a rally from Mandi House to Jantar Mantar with banners and placards and actively participated in a public meeting at Jantar Mantar to demand that the perpetrators of all forms of state terrorism be punished.  

Legal Aftermath of 1984 and the Way Forward-Panel Discussion

On the 32nd anniversary of state organised massacre of Sikhs in 1984, the Sikh Forum organised an important panel discussion entitled "Legal Aftermath of 1984 and the Way Forward". The meeting was held on 1st November 2016 at the India International Center in New Delhi and was attended by a large number of people.

The CBI enquiry has totally exposed the police lie that the houses were burnt by the Naxalities, and instead shows that these unlawful activities were carried out by the SPOs/police/CRPF. The CBI report notes that 323 SPOs/policemen as well as 114 personnel of COBRA and 30 personnel of CRPF participated in the operation.
It also points to the concealment of rapes and murders by the Chhattisgarh police.


किसका राज, किसका हित विषय पर सभा

लोक राज समिति शशी गार्डन की अगुवाई में दिल्ली के पटपड़ गंज इलाके में 2 अक्तूबर को ‘किसका राज किसका हित’ विषय पर एक सभा की गई। इस सभा में दिल्ली के अनेक स्कूलों और कालेजों में पढ़ने वाले नौजवान लड़के-लड़कियों ने हिस्सा लिया। लोक राज संगठन के नौजवान साथियों ने इस कार्यक्रम को आयोजित और संचालित किया। जीवंत वातावरण में प्रस्तुति पेश की गई और इसके बाद एक चर्चा चलाई गई।

The “Stop the Politics of Hate” campaign organised across the country by the Popular Front of India concluded with a National People’s Conference on 3 October 2013 at Talkatora Stadium in Delhi. The month long campaign began from Kankyakumari on 1 September with grand public meetings in major cities, street corner meetings, get together programmes, vehicle caravan, poster and pamphlets. The campaign was aimed against the politics of hate spread by the government, all across the country and protect the values of peace and harmony.

109th Birth Anniversary of Shaheed Bhagat Singh celebrated with great enthusiasm in Delhi

On 18 September 2016, Punjabi Academy and Bhagat Singh Association celebrated the 109th birth anniversary of Shaaheed Bhagat Singh “Punjabi sabhayaachar Mela” in Sardar Colony, Rohini in Delhi. Lok Raj Sangathan was invited to participate in the programme and address the children, youth and their family members who had gathered for the programme. The programme was marked by revolutionary songs and poems, bhangda and gidda dance by young troupe, talwar bazi, playing dhol, and tashen, and karate performance by the children and youth.
